Felipe Echeverry

Felipe Echeverry (b. 1988, Cali, Colombia) is a visual artist whose practice blends abstraction and figuration to explore movement, color, and the human experience. Trained as an architect, he shifted to painting in 2015, bringing a strong compositional foundation to his expressive, emotionally charged works.

Deeply influenced by his roots in Cali, Echeverry draws inspiration from salsa music, natural landscapes, and the rhythm of life—translating them into bold, gestural brushstrokes. His style echoes the dynamic tension of artists like de Kooning and Baselitz, fusing structure with spontaneity.

Echeverry has exhibited internationally, including at Museo de Arte Moderno (Mexico City), Museo Tamayo, and Museo Kaluz. He’s had solo shows with Avant Gallery (New York, Miami) and participated in Art Basel. His work is held in private collections worldwide and has been featured in collaborations with Saks Fifth Avenue and New York Fashion Week.
