Cartographies of the Self: Colombian Art in Transit features works by Alejandro Cuadros, Felipe Echeverry, and Juan Marín, three voices of contemporary Colombian art whose practices reveal how the country’s creative expression engages with global sociocultural dialogues. Each work speaks in its own visual language, and together they weave a conversation around identity, memory, color, and form.
The exhibition underscores the conceptual and aesthetic richness of contemporary Colombian art, presenting works that resonate beyond their local context and assert their relevance on the global stage.
Presented at the Consulate General of Colombia in Newark (New Jersey), the show invites audiences to explore how these pieces become vehicles of presence and dialogue within today’s international art landscape.
